Paul's group was made up of 7 - 8 girls. If I remember correctly, it was the first trip outside of Japan for all but one girl. Keeping that in mind, we wanted to give our visitors a taste of home at one of our favorite Japanese restaurants, Yoshi's. What we didn't realize is that Yoshi's is closed for lunch on Saturdays. (Really?) So, we took them to B.D.'s Mongolian BBQ instead. We (the Haggertys) enjoy this restaurant for it's food and atmosphere. We love the giant grill that they cook the food on. So did the girls in Paul's group. Some of them went back for seconds and thirds! Good thing B.D.'s is all-you-can-eat!
Is that brain freeze, Paul?
Afterward we offered to take them to the Irish Festival. But, it seems that no matter what country you are from, teenage girls want to hang out at the mall. We took them to Tuttle mall to shop. In a visit that ended all too soon, we parted company with Paul and his group. We hope that one summer Paul will get another work mission in Ohio. Maybe his wife Hiroko will join him then!
